What a great time, performing Radio Hour: Love in the Pops! We’re now headed into Magnolia Chorale’s Summer off-season with wonderful memories, fantastic photos, and lots of excitement about matching Radio Hour’s fun and energy in the Fall. These performances brought to a close my first year as a Chorale member. I have enjoyed getting to know the members and exploring a variety of music. I have been delighted with the varied repertoire between celebratory and traditional Christmas music to pop hits from throughout the 20th century! And of course, getting to dress up in costumes was pretty much the tops. Above all else, I have been impressed by the camaraderie and spirit of community present in the Magnolia Chorale. None of our concerts would be possible without many volunteered hours by members and supporters: preparing food, hanging posters, cataloging music, and communicating with our community. And so much more. And since this truly is a community, this post would not be complete without sharing a few other voices, reflecting on what made Radio Hour so great! So, what did Magnolia Chorale members say they especially enjoyed?
And these quotes pretty much sum up the audience response:
Will there be a sing-along in the Chorale's future? Will we continue to have WAY too much fun? Keep in touch to find out! Join our mailing list and LIKE our page on Facebook. |
