A message from the president

PictureAnn Macfarlane, President Magnolia Chorale Board
 Dear Members of Magnolia Chorale,

Our warmest welcome to both new and returning members. Our director Joseph To has prepared a creative and harmonious celebration of our beloved planet that will be presented on Earth Day weekend, Saturday April 22 and Sunday April 23, 2023. The rich harmonies will be accompanied by poetry and pictures to encourage both the audience and choristers to reflect on the importance of protecting our planet. Check out the repertoire here.

Rehearsals resume on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at 7:00 pm at Magnolia United Church of Christ. You can see the full rehearsal schedule here.

Here are a few items to note:
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is required for all participants.
  • Masks of type N95, KN95, KF94, or a singer's mask are required at rehearsals at this time. We will monitor the public health situation as we go forward.
  • We plan to sing without masks at the performance, but will review the situation one month before the concerts. Any singer who prefers to wear a mask during performance is most welcome to do so.
  • Rehearsals are from 7 to 9 pm. We will have a short break in the middle.
  • The concert venue is moving back to Magnolia Lutheran Church, and concerts will follow our traditional pattern:
           Wednesday, April 19, 7:00 – 9:30 pm Dress rehearsal
Saturday, April 22, 7:30 pm  Concert
Sunday, April 23, 2:00 pm  Concert
  • Dues remain the same at $130 per semester.
If you have further questions, please don’t hesitate to be in touch. The Board of Directors is excited to resume rehearsing as we celebrate our favorite planet!

 With warm best wishes,

 Ann Macfarlane
