Lift up your voice and sing with us this spring

Picture
Rehearsals for our spring concerts begin Sunday, January 25, 2026 at 7 pm. This semester’s concerts are themed “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” after the historic African American anthem written in 1900 by James Weldon Johnson (lyrics) and his brother Rosamond (music). Inspired by this year's 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the program features a multicultural perspective on American values of hope, peace, and freedom.

The Chorale will sing pieces drawn from a multitude of voices, including African American composer Florence Price, Cree-Dene composer Sherryl Sewepagaham, Venezuelan composer Carlos Cordero, and more.

We welcome new singers in all voice parts, especially tenors and basses. If you have some choral experience and a basic ability to read music, you’ll fit right in. There’s no audition, just a brief voice placement session with our director Joseph To.

If you’re interested in singing with us this spring, please visit  "Join Us" to learn more, and submit the form so we can have music ready for you. Performance dates are May 2 & 3, 2026.
